To what extent are the witches responsible for what happens to Macbeth? I am carrier bag to write about how the witches are responsible for the events in Macbeth and how they hold to the cope with. People in Shakespeares time were watchful of witchcraft. They believed that it was powerful, as witches were considered devil worshippers and were taken very seriously, especially by tycoon James 1st who was fascinated with them as well. Shakespeare had witches in his assemble to explore the subject of evil and wanted to warn others of the dangers of witchcraft. However, Macbeth is as well responsible for what happens in the play. The play begins in Act 1, spatial relation 1 with the witches meeting, talking about the battle between Scotland and Norway that has non been won yet. The witches then talk about meeting wi th Macbeth, by and by he has won the battle. This shows that they can foresee and control the in store(predicate) and they certainly have reasons to meet with Macbeth. A connection is do instantly between Macbeth and the witches.

Macbeth is already Thane of Glamis and is shocked that the witches know who and what he is. On the other hand, Macbeth is a very determined person and is persuaded by the thought of greater titles, which the witches realise.
